HOW TO REACH DIFFERENT POINTS OF ENTRY IN YEOOR

1. If you trek from Mulund then it is Mulund Hills Trek or Yogi Hill Trek or Tulsi Lake Trek. Click Mulund Hills Trek to see that

2. If you want to trek to Yeoor Hills then its through Patvanpada (last stop). There is a private farm there. Instead of going to farm there is a small road which goes straight and there is a gate. Its a Trans Thane Borivali trek. But I guess its stopped due to security reasons. There are guards on the way and they don’t allow. Earlier it was open. If you know some forest officer then you can proceed. On the way is Yeoor Waterfall.

3. Third trek is from the Tikujini Wadi side. You climb that hill and reach a village up the top known as Vanitapada. Many daily morning walkers go till there. Till Vanitapada its very easy route. From there you need to hire the local people if you want to further continue the trek to Mundi Peak which is the three headed peak seen from the top on other side. Not many people go there as the forest is too dense.

4. Mama Bhanja Trek is a trek which have steps all the way till top. Height of Mama mountain is 400 meters and Bhanja mountain is 360 meters. It is accessible from Lokmanya Nagar.

NOTE:

The main entry of Yeoor is from the Upvan side where there is ghat road which climbs up the yeoor hills. This entry is guarded due to airforce. However if you come up from here to visit yeoor you are not going to see anything apart from roads, hotels, villages. People often get mistaken and come to Yeoor via Upvan and pay heavy entry tickets to go up and eventually seeing nothing. This is only for the morning walkers to do exercise and village people or airforce duties.

The second main entry in terms of scenic point of view is from Manpada side near Tikujiniwadi. Here you can park your vehicles at the base. Pay entry fee per person and trek up the hills to see the real natural beauty which is what Yeoor is all about. The lakes, rivers, waterfalls are all the part of this side.
